To be come a member of
Thespian Troupe 6578 -
applicants must have a minimum of 10 points earned in a theatrical production, Participation in at least two Main Stage productions a year, attend 55% + of the meetings during the school year, and work in at least one summer shop clean out or theatre camp, to be INVITED into troupe 6578. Invitees must pay all dues before the scheduled induction date in the spring. All Senior inductees must also be members in good standing to receive cords/honors for graduation.
All Thespian Members must participate in a
MINIMUM of three (3)
Theatre Department Productions
Including but not limited to -
* Improv Show
* Talent Show
*Fall Musical
* Winter Play
* Spring Musical
*Evening with the Arts
Members must maintain a minimum of 15 hours of "work" days a month. Including (2) Two - 2 hour Saturday work sessions for EACH production.
Members must submit point sheets to the Vice President every month.
Not maintaining points will result in probation period. Should members fail to maintain points expulsion from Thespian Society will result in loss of all privileges and honor cords for graduation.
All members are required to purchase a club t shirt at the beginning of the year for yearbook photos.

Participation in the Thespian Scholarship Auditions program is required for the following scholarships:
The Excellence in Theatre Performance Scholarship is awarded to graduating high school seniors planning to major in communication or the performing arts. Fields include: theatre, film, speech, radio and television, broadcasting, music, or dance. The number of scholarships and their amounts vary each year.
The Future Theatre Educator Scholarship is a one-time $2,500 scholarship is awarded to graduating high school seniors planning to major in communication or the performing arts. Fields include: theatre, film, speech, radio and television, broadcasting, music, or dance. The number of scholarships and their amounts vary each year.
The Melba Day Henning Scholarship is awarded to one graduating senior working toward a career in theatre education. The initial award of $1,000 a year is renewable for three additional years—up to a maximum of $4,000. A $500 cash stipend is awarded when the recipient secures a teaching position.
The Theatre Performance, Technical, or Playwriting Scholarship is a one-time $2,000 scholarship awarded to a graduating senior entering a college program to major in theatre performance, technical theatre, or playwriting. For the Playwriting Scholarship, the recipient must have been a finalist in the Thespian Playworks program during one of the previous four years.

The Amy Bennett Musical Theatre Scholarship is a one-time $1,500 scholarship awarded to two graduating seniors entering a college program to major in musical theatre..
The Austin Yeatman Technical Theatre Scholarship is a one-time $1,000 scholarship for a graduating senior studying technical theatre in college.
The Jhon Marshall/International Thespian Officers’ Outstanding Student Achievement Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship awarded to two graduating seniors who exemplify the ideals of the International Thespian Society.
The Bob and Marti Fowler Future Theatre Educator Scholarship is awarded to a student pursuing a theatre education major and who demonstrates leadership qualities, an excellent work ethic, the ability to work effectively as a member of a production team, strong character, academic ability, organizational skills, and experience in different aspects of theatre.
The Educational Theatre Association Presidents’ Leadership Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship created with donations from and in honor of past and current EdTA board presidents. This scholarship is intended for inducted Thespians who successfully demonstrate leadership abilities. Emphasis is placed on the student’s troupe involvement and demonstrated leadership abilities and experiences both in and out of school. Applicants do not have to major in theatre in college.
